Yesterday Times Higher Education published its annual ranking. Tilburg Law School rose from position 28 to position 20 worldwide, which makes us the best scoring Dutch Law School! 🎉 Do you want to learn more about the ranking and read our Dean's reaction? Check the website below 👇

In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2022 Tilburg University rose in Law from position 28 to 20 and is the best Dutch university in this field. The results were made public on 13 October 2021 for Social Sciences, Business and Economics, Education and Law.

Great news! We are proud to announce that our Global Law Team has won the IE University Comparative Law in Action competition 🏆 Our team - Ph.D. researcher Shanya Ruhela - have done a great job! Despite putting up bachelor students against master students, our team won overall as well as ‘the best group oralist award’

Legal Profession Day, 19 april:
Ben jij niet geïnteresseerd in de traditionele togaberoepen? Dan is de Legal Profession Day de uitgelezen kans om erachter te komen welke carrièremogelijkheden een rechtenstudie nog meer rijk is! Bedrijven zoals Rabobank en Hallo Lex zullen deze dag aanwezig zijn om zich aan jou te presenteren middels workshops. De Legal Profession Day zal geopend worden door niemand minder dan Sander Schimmelpenninck, voormalig advocaat en -hoofdredacteur van het tijdschrift Quote.

Brabant Business Lunch, 21 april:
Zijn deze grote kantoren niets voor jou en ben je benieuwd hoe regionale advocatenkantoren zijn? Schrijf je dan in voor de Brabant Business Lunch! MannaertsAppels, NeXT Advocaten en VDT Advocaten zullen deze dag aanwezig zijn om jou te voorzien van workshops. Alle vragen die jij hebt, kun je op deze dag persoonlijk stellen aan de aanwezige medewerkers van de kantoren tijdens een uitgebreide lunch. De uitgelezen kans om te netwerken en om jezelf te oriënteren op jouw toekomst!

Business Day, 22 april:
De Business Day is een dag waarbij maar liefst 20 grote advocatenkantoren bij elkaar komen online om nader kennis te maken met jou als student! De advocatenkantoren zullen zich presenteren door middel van workshops. Ook is er een netwerkborrel waarbij jij de advocatenkantoren nog beter kunt leren kennen op een informele manier. Ook beiden wij jou de kans om erachter te komen welk kantoor het beste bij jou past middels een individueel gesprek!

Public Administration Day, 23 april: Dit jaar sluiten we de Juridische Bedrijvendagen Tilburg af met de dag voor de Tilburgse bestuurskunde student! Op vrijdag 23 april komen verschillende organisaties uit alle windstreken van Nederland naar Tilburg toe en verzorgen interessante presentaties en workshops. Op de PA day kan je laagdrempelig kennismaken met de diversiteit aan carrièreperspectieven na je bestuurskundige opleiding.

De Brabant Business Lunch en de Public Administration Day zullen fysiek plaats vinden in Cinecitta Tilburg. De Business day en de Legal Profession Day zullen online plaatsvinden.

Het is de Week van de Rechtspraak! Daarom kan je vandaag tussen 15.00 en 15.30 uur live op onze Facebookpagina met een rechter in gesprek.

Vanmiddag kan je vragen stellen aan rechter Jacco Janssen. 'Ik ben al ruim 20 jaar strafrechter in Rotterdam. Geboren, getogen en eigenlijk altijd gewerkt in Rotterdam. Ik maak me hard om vonnissen begrijpelijker te maken door een uniforme, logische opzet en het schrijven in 'klare taal'. Ik schrijf columns voor de NRC en als lid van de woordvoerderspool van de Rechtspraak werk ik mee aan interviews voor televisie en andere media. Stel me vandaag vanaf 15.00 uur vooral je vragen over strafrecht en leesbare vonnissen.'
