Just 12 more days until the start of the Summerschool!
All participants should have received an e-mail with more information on the Summerschool. Just in case, we will post it here as well:
Dear LOT school participant,
Thank you for signing up for the LOT summer school! We would like to introduce ourselves as this year’s organizing committee: Maaike Schoorlemmer, Marijana Marelj, Sylvia Wijsman, Dominique Blok, and Ruurt Wiegant. If you have any questions regarding your participation or the school in general, feel free to approach us by email at [email protected].
We would also like to clarify a number of points regarding the logistics of this year’s summer school:
You are still able to sign up for the poster session and dinners after registration or even during the summer school itself, and we encourage you to do so. Note, however, that the poster session can only host a limited number of participants. Participants of the poster session will be contacted separately regarding its details. Any questions about the poster session can be addressed directly to Sylvia ([email protected]) or Ruurt ([email protected]).
You will be contacted by the lecturers of the classes you have signed up for to inform you of the required reading materials. Neither the information nor the materials themselves will be supplied by us or LOT.
It is possible and even advisable to arrive on Saturday, giving you an extra day to explore the city.
For those staying at the hostel, we would like to point out that cooking facilities are present, so you need not eat out every night. Furthermore, the hostel provides bedlinen but no towels, so please bring your own.
The hostel only has wired internet (no wifi), so make sure your laptop and/or telephone can be plugged in.
We will contact you with some further information at a later date. In the meanwhile, we already wish you an enjoyable and fruitful summer school. If you have any remaining questions, please feel free to ask!
