Utrecht Summer School started in 1986 with one course: Dutch Culture and Society. Nowadays, the programme offers a broad selection of over academic 170 courses in virtually all disciplines organised by Utrecht University, HU University of Applied Sciences and HKU University of the Arts. These institutions offer challenging summer courses of high quality and are taught in bachelor, master and PhD l
evel. In 2013 the Utrecht Summer School attracted around 3000 students from over 98 different countries. ECTS credits are rewarded for most of the courses. Utrecht Summer School is spread over several locations in and around Utrecht, with a satellite campus at the University College Roosevelt in Middelburg. International combination courses give students the possibility to attend an international course of which part of the programme takes place outside The Netherlands at cooperating partner universities in Italy, Germany, Estonia and many more places. Besides the academic programs, we offer furnished housing and many social activities to give students an unforgettable international experience. Our programme is bound to contain interesting courses for everyone. Courses on European Culture, Conflict Studies and Art History are specially designed for all bachelor students that show a serious interest in these issues. Psycholinguistics, Theoretical physics and Juvenile justice are intended for specialized bachelor or young master students.
