The Food Technology and International Agribusiness and Trade study programmes of VHL University of Applied Sciences are pleased to invite applications from students interested in participating in an international mobility activity organized within the Erasmus+ project FOODFORTHOUGHT.
Participants will collaborate with students and teachers from partner organizations across Europe to develop sustainable gardening practices connected to wellbeing, food systems, and social inclusion.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
• Be enrolled in the Food Technology or International Agribusiness and Trade study programmes at VHL University of Applied Sciences;
• Demonstrate a good command of English, both spoken and written;
• Be available to participate throughout the entire mobility period;
• Show interest in food innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, international cooperation, and related topics;
• Demonstrate motivation to represent VHL University of Applied Sciences in an international environment.
Application Documents
Interested (FT and/or IAT) students are required to submit:
1. A Motivation Letter (maximum one page) explaining:
o Why they wish to participate in the mobility;
o How the mobility aligns with their academic and professional goals;
o What contribution they expect to make to the project activities.
2. A Curriculum Vitae (CV), preferably in Europass format.
Financial Support

Travel costs and accommodation are fully covered through the Erasmus+ project FOODFORTHOUGHT.

All selected participants will receive a participation certificate after successful completion of the mobility.

Food, Culture & a Week We’ll Never Forget 🌍🔥
During our Erasmus Mobility intensive programme “Food, Culture & Society” 🌍, students from Spain and Romania joined our FT & IAT students for a week of discovery, collaboration, and (of course) amazing food 🍽️

Together, we explored how food shapes identity, sustainability, and society through hands-on workshops, excursions, intercultural cooking, and shared experiences.

From visiting innovative food initiatives in the Achterhoek 🚲, to discussing consumer behaviour, attending a Food Inspiration guest lecture, and preparing an intercultural dinner together 🍲 — every moment showed the power of curiosity, connection, and learning beyond the classroom.

A week full of ideas, cultures, and unforgettable moments ✨
