Happy Earth Day!
On our way back to the airport, we realized it is Earth Day. So we pulled over, took off our shoes, and placed our feet on the Earth to thank her.
Thank you, Earth — for letting us be a living part of you. For everything you showed us in Costa Rica, for the inspiration, your creative designs and for sharing your microbes with us to illuminate the magic of co-creation.

𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 🏆

I cycled home with the Talent Award Rotterdam 2024 in my bag, still overwhelmed by the moment. I thought I was simply attending the New Year’s Reception at Kunsthal Rotterdam… but instead, I stood on stage, recognized for the mission I believe in with every fiber of my being: creating symbiosis between humans and nature.

This award honors 8 years of hard work, passion, and persistence with my incredible team at Nova Innova. For me it’s a reminder to living, working, and creating from my heart is where meaningful change begins.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. This is not just my award, it’s ours. Together, we’re building a future where people and nature thrive side by side.

What a milestone moment! Nova Innova officially finished a 4 year innovation process of the POND concept. Together with our valued partners, we have made it possible to give water a voice to the public. Now water can show us how she is doing! By harvesting energy from microbes in the water, we can translate its wellbeing into mesmerizing different colours of lights.

Last week’s special event at Diergaarde Blijdorp / Rotterdam Zoo, was truly magical and inspiring. In the sunset the 3 domes of different sizes were telling us their story, accompanied by harmonious music.

Our next step is to make this groundbreaking innovation visible to a broader audience. 👉 Let us know where you would like to see POND.

Exciting News!

We are thrilled to share that we've been selected to be a part of 'Het Grote Groene Idee' 2023. A grand TV-show, hosted by Harm Edens, in which inventors and creative minds present the most fun and best solutions to the climate problem.

Diederik Jekel (inspiring science journalist) visited In-lite Outdoor Lighting | Global HQ to check out our new Living Light - Park developments in collaboration with Plant-e.
