We really enjoyed meeting some of the potential program candidates today at the Master’s Open Day!🥰
Below you’ll find our answers to the most frequently asked questions – maybe those are the same as you have 😊
If they aren’t and you would like more information, just reach out via a PM!📬
1. What is the difference between IB Supply Chain Management and Global Supply Chain Management?📚
Especially the group size and practical approach make a difference. We are about 30 students divided into 2 tutorial groups. So, we interact a lot with each individual student. The practical approach is already evident in the first week, in which we attended an introduction day at the logistics companies in the Venlo area. In the first period, we also worked on a business case with 2 different companies. Here we were provided with real data and we had to analyse and propose solutions to the business problems presented.
In addition, the curriculum for GSCMC is fixed, whereas with IB you are somewhat freer in your choice of course combinations. However, since we are a smaller campus, we have a direct line with all professors, the planning office and the program coordinator. Our feedback is listened to, and attempts are made to integrate it.
2. I’ve studied "XY", am I eligible for the master’s program?🧑🎓
Sadly, we can’t answer specific admission questions for you. Please reach out to the admission office or have a look on the program website and the list on admission requirements.
3. When does the master’s program start?⏲️
The master program starts only in September. If you’d want to join the pre-master of GSCMC you can do so in February or September.
4. I’m not a number person, is the first period on the quantitative methods still manageable?🧮
I won't lie to you, the first period of 7 weeks will be a challenge for you if you don't like dealing with numbers. However, that's only the first period of the program. The following courses have an increased focus on management. Also, the small groups support a great group atmosphere and students help each other as much as they can😍
