📌Are you a student living in Germany and working or studying in the Netherlands and have questions about cross-border commuting? Or are you curious about the benefits and challenges of it?
👥Then come join the Cross-Border Employment Service’s consultation session at Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences.

🕘On 12 November, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the euregio rhine-meuse-north Cross-Border Employment Service will be on campus in room W1-0.04.

Their consultation team is ready to assist with all your questions about tax, social security, health insurance, mortgage interest deductions, and labour laws specific to cross-border situations.
They’re also here to give you advice, whether you're seeking a side job across the border, considering living in Germany, or simply want to know how cross-border employment affects you.

This session is organised by the Cross-border Business Development (CBBD) research group, which aims to support both employees and students in navigating the euregional labour market.
For students, your participation will be recorded as PPD hours.

Today Meet the Youngsters hosted a workshop for students to 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵-𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻. The students met regional businesses using VR glasses😎 and learned about the importance of networking🤝

CBBD workshops are taking place during the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 at Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences.
Presented "In dialogue about learning and innovation in cross-border organisations" by Sofie Moresi on Monday this week, "Cross-cultural collaboration among students" by Max Klöters on Tuesday and "Applying for a job across the border" by Saskia Gerhards and Niklas Meisel yesterday.
Sofie, Max, Saskia and Niklas created an inclusive environment during the workshops where the students shared their thoughts and opinions in an interactive way.

Did you know there is still one workshop taking place today?
Steve Clemens will lead the hashtag "Cross-cultural learning in hybrid learning environments" this afternoon.

📢Yesterday, Daniel Kim, started his work placement within the CBBD research group.

Hello, my name is Daniel Kim, I’m a 20-year-old French/Korean student studying Marketing Management at Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences. I am currently a third-year student doing my internship at the Cross-border Business Development (CBBD) team. During this internship, the task that I will be responsible for is to conduct internal marketing to bring more awareness about the CBBD team and its purpose to its employees and students.

🔎Adisa Kamberi started her graduation assignment within our team in September. She briefly introduces herself:

Hi, my name is Adisa Kamberi, I am 23 years old, and I study International Business at Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences. I am currently in my last semester, and I decided to do my graduation assignment in the Cross-Border Business Development research group. My main task will be to conduct research and to investigate cross-border collaboration opportunities for SMEs in the Dutch-German region, more specifically in the Rhein-Maas-Region.

🔎This semester, a few interns start their work placement or graduation assignment within our team. They will be introduced in the coming weeks. Today, we introduce Georgi Goranov. He started his internship a few weeks ago.

Hey, my name is Georgi Goranov, I’m a 21-year-old student at Fontys, currently undertaking an internship with the Cross-border Business Development (CBBD) team. As part of my role, I am responsible for digitalizing the CBBD Competency Game, enhancing the project’s impact and accessibility. Alongside my studies, I compete in volleyball and proudly represent the Venlo CIVITAS team here in the Netherlands🏐
