SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT: SHREE HARKA SMRITI SCHOLARSHIP – 2083

The Nepal Fisheries Society (NEFIS) has officially announced that application is open for the Shree Harka Smriti Scholarship - 2083 for students pursuing B.Sc. Fisheries.

About the Scholarship & Origin: This scholarship was established on the auspicious occasion of the International Conference on Aquaculture and Fisheries (ICAF, 2024) held in Chitwan (23–25 October 2024).

The endowment was established by NEFIS Co-member Mr. Jhalak Lal Shrestha (Managing Director, Shree Complex Pvt. Ltd., Pokhara, Kaski) and his wife Mrs. Sabina Shrestha, in loving memory of their respected parents, late Mr. Harka Lal Shrestha and late Mrs. Shree Kumari Shrestha.

The primary objective of this scholarship is to support, encourage, and reward academic excellence among students pursuing B.Sc. Fisheries.

📌 Scholarship Details:

Eligible Candidates: Students pursuing B.Sc. Fisheries

Award: Official Certificate of Honor + Monetary Support (as decided by NEFIS)

Award Presentation: To be formally announced at the NEFIS AGM on 16th Asoj 2083

Application Deadline: Friday, 11th September 2026

The Nepal Aquaculture and Fisheries Students’ Association (NAFSA) expresses its deepest and heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost their lives in the devastating floods.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and thier loved ones during this difficult time. We also pray for the safety, strength, and well-being of those who are still affected by the floods and going through this difficult situation.
