Are you a young Nepali passionate about climate action, agriculture, and digital innovation?
The Climate and Agri-tech Fellowship – First Cohort offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with local governments in Bheriganga Municipality (Surkhet), Narayan Municipality (Dailekh), Aalital Rural Municipality (Dadeldhura), and Godawari Municipality (Kailali), as well as the provincial Ministry of Land, Agriculture, and Cooperatives in Birendranagar (Surkhet) and Dhangadhi (Kailali), ), helping to design and implement data-driven, climate-smart, and technology-enabled agricultural solutions while promoting innovation-driven local agribusiness.
This fellowship is ideal for motivated youth who want to gain hands-on experience in climate governance, agri-tech innovation, agribusiness development, and community engagement. Fellows will work closely with municipalities, communities and relevant authorities to strengthen climate-resilient agriculture, evidence-based planning, and gender-inclusive local development initiatives.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲?
✔Nepali youth aged 29 years or below
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Agricultural Engineering, Development Studies, Natural Resource Management, or related fields
✔ Interest in climate-smart agriculture, agri-technology, GIS, data, or digital learning
✔ Basic knowledge of computer applications, digital tools, GIS, and MS Office
✔ Willing to collaborate closely with municipal and provincial governments
✔Strong communication skills in Nepali and English
✔ Commitment to Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI)

✔ Work directly with local municipalities and local bodies
✔ Gain hands-on experience in GIS mapping, agricultural data systems, and climate-smart planning
✔ Participate in residential training on CSA, GIS, digital tools, and GESI
✔ Receive monthly stipend, travel allowance, and operational support
✔ Contribute to inclusive and climate-resilient local development
