In a historic occasion for VIT, we have leapfrogged our rankings globally. The latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 stands as a true testimony.

Engineering & Technology:
- Under the Engineering & Technology category, we are currently ranked 212 in the World, a jump of 28 places from last year and have maintained the 9th position in India.
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering: We are currently ranked 151-200 in the World as compared to 200-250 in 2023.
- Chemical Engineering: We are currently ranked 251-300 in the World as compared to 301-350 in 2023.
- Computer Science and Information Systems: We are currently ranked 136 in the World as compared to 201-250 in 2023.
- Mechanical Engineering: We are currently ranked 201-250 in the World as compared to 251-300 in 2023.

Life Sciences & Medicine:
- Biological Sciences: We are currently ranked 351-400 in the World as compared to 451-500 in 2023. In India, we are ranked 7-9 as compared to 10th rank in 2023.

Natural Sciences:
- Physics & Astronomy: We are currently ranked 451-500 in the World
- Chemistry: We are currently ranked 351-400 in the World
- Mathematics: We are currently ranked 201-250 in the World as compared to 351-400 in 2023. In India, we are ranked 7-8 as compared to 11th rank in 2023.
- Material Sciences: A new entrant to the subject ranking, we are currently ranked 201-250 in the World and 7-9 in India
- Environmental Sciences: Another new entrant to the subject ranking, we are currently ranked 451-500 in the World and 14-15 in India.

Social Sciences & Management:
- Business & Management: Another new entrant to the subject ranking, we are currently ranked 551-600 in the World and 21-23 in India.
