Happy Udhauli Parwa | Yomari Punhi | Dhanya Purnima and Jyapu Diwas
•Udhauli Parwa is mainly celebrated by Kirant community like Rai, Limbu, Yakkha and Sunuwar of Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country.
•Yomari Punhi is a Newari festival marking the end of the rice harvest. Yomari is a special Newari food and Punhi means full moon.
•Dhanya Purnima is a Hindu festival celebrated to mark the conclusion of the rice harvest season across the country.

'TIHAR SPECIAL MOMENTS' Photography Competition ✨

We invite all students to participate in an online photography competition themed around the special moments of Tihar. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your photography skills and capture the essence of this beautiful festival of Lights and Colors.🎉

*Competition Details: 📋
•Eligibility: Open to all KUSL students
•Submission Deadline: November 5, 2024

Winner will be announced through social media and there will be a gift hamper for the winners .
One winner will be chosen based on the criteria listed below, and another winner will be determined by public voting on social media.

*Submission Guidelines: ‼️
•Each participant can submit up to two photographs.
•Photos should be in high resolution (JPEG/PNG format).
•Please include a brief description for each photo, explaining its significance.

*Send your photographs along with Name and Batch to: [email protected]

*Criteria for the participants : ✅
•The photograph must not contain anything inappropriate.
*The photography with these guidelines will be given more priority:
•Rangoli, and decorative elements.
•Animals in Focus: Highlighting the celebrations of Kukur Tihar and G*i Tihar etc.
•Festival Lights & Decorations: Capturing the festive lighting, traditional during the festival.
•Rituals and Traditions: Capturing the unique rituals of Tihar, including Bhai Tika.
