Some glimpses of the information session about the Food System Innovation Challenge (FSIC) 2026 held at Kathmandu University. The program was coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Uma Shankar Panday with presentations from Dr. John Hummel, an agricultural activist promoting sustainable agriculture in Nepal, Er. Mukti Nath Jha, representative from the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) and Mrs. Sharmila Pun, representative from Welt Hunger Life (WHH) Nepal,
We believe the young participants were motivated and guided by our esteemed speakers, who provided the pathways for bringing up their ideas and ways to shape them, to make a real-world impact. Also, the presentation by Mr.
Ashirwad Raj Ojha, member of the winning team (EcoGrub) of the last edition of FSIC further provided guidelines to shape up their ideas.
We once again call all the enthusiast students to brainstorm the ideas and register for the FSIC-2026 and transform their ideas into a real-world and impactful project.
