Batch 2026 | Field Trip | ICIMOD Living
Mountain Lab

As our first-year Environmental Science students stepped out of the classroom and into their 2nd field trip to ICIMOD
Living Mountain Lab for an immersive field-learning experience. The visit gave students the opportunity to explore how sustainable technologies, farming practices, biodiversity conservation, and mountain-focused approaches are tested, demonstrated, and applied in real-world settings. From understanding practical solutions for sustainable mountain development to seeing how environmental knowledge connects with communities and ecosystems, the field trip turned classroom concepts into experiences they could see, observe, and learn from firsthand. A day of learning, exploring, and making memories because some of the best lessons happen beyond the classroom.
