On this auspicious occasion of the 2570th Buddha Jayanti, we commemorate the Birth, Enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha. On this holy day, let us reflect upon his core teachings:
Suffering and Its Cause: While change and suffering are inevitable in this world, the true cause lies within our own ignorance, greed, and anger.
Purification of the Mind: The essence of Buddha's teaching is to "abstain from all evil, cultivate supreme virtue, and tame one's own mind." We must replace violence, lies, and greed with kindness, truth, and compassion.
Dependent Origination (Interconnection): Nothing in this universe exists in isolation; we are all profoundly interconnected. True wisdom lies in understanding this interdependence and the nature of emptiness.
Investigation and Practice: The Buddha advised, "Do not accept my teachings out of blind faith. Instead, test and analyze them for yourselves, just as a goldsmith tests the purity of gold."
May the light of Buddha’s compassion and peace find a home in all our hearts. On this 2570th anniversary, may his message of brotherhood and non-violence spread throughout the entire world.
