Fine Art college of nepal known as Lalit Kala Campus (ललित कला क्याम्पस) is a first fineart college of Nepal, situated at Bhotahiti, Kathamandu, Nepal. Lalit Kala Campus (Fine Art Campus), a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University under aegis of the faculty of humanities and social sciences, occupies an unrivalled position in the history of fine arts education in Nepal. Set up in 1991 B.

S.(1934 A.D.), it has grown into a full-fledged campus and will expectantly extend into the art university. Its origin can be traced tentatively to the department of painting taken charge by some enthusiastic and pioneering visionaries in a small room of Tri Chandra College in B.S. 1991 (1934 A.D.). From B.S. 1991 to B.S. 1995 late Master Chatur Ratna Udas served as the in-charge of this art institute. From B.S. 1995 to B.S. 2024 it assumed the name “Juddha Kala Pathshala”. From B.S. 2024 to B.S. 2030 then energetic leading artists cm art teachers (late Tej Bahadur Chitrakar, late Keshav Prasad Duwadi, late Chandra Bahadur Manandhar, Kali Das Shrestha, Jeev Ratna Shakya etc.) It was taken up by the then H.M.G. Education Ministry under its present name “Lalit Kala Campus” on 20th Srawan, B.S. 2030. From then onwards, it underwent a complete transformation into a higher level of art institution. Prominent academician and recognized artist Kali Das Shrestha was appointed as the first campus chief. It holds the glory of being the first fine art campus/institute in the country. Since B.S. 2034, it has started B.F.A. program actively and preeminently initiated by then campus chief Kali Das Shrestha and from B.S. 2066 (2009 A.D.). as a historical landmark, for the first time in the country, it has begun Master’s Degree in Fine Arts (Master’s Degree in Painting,Sculpture and Music ) in its own 25 roomer building on Tribhuvan University premises in Kirtipur. At present, about 45 teachers are involving to teach nearly 800 students. From its inception, it has been gaining the confidence in its academic programs and social activities. It contains highly qualified, experienced and professionally motivated faculty members and administrative staff. It has been trying very hard for quality education and academic excellence in coordination with the national education goal. The campus is committed to producing required and trained professionals. It has been undertaking the responsibilities of adjusting itself to the changing trends in fine arts with fitting respect to national heritage and culture.
