At Xavier International School, our PYP Year 5 learners came together to observe Anti-Bullying Week with empathy, reflection, and meaningful action. Through discussions, collaborative activities, and creative expression, learners explored what bullying is, why it happens, and most importantly, how kindness and positive words can create a safe and caring community for everyone.
The week encouraged learners to become caring, principled, and reflective individuals as they transformed negative language into positive affirmations and shared powerful messages against bullying. These experiences helped strengthen important ATL skills including communication, social skills, self-management, and critical thinking, empowering learners to express themselves confidently while respecting the feelings and perspectives of others.
At the heart of the PYP is the belief that education goes beyond academics. It is about nurturing compassionate human beings who understand the importance of inclusion, respect, and standing up for one another. Anti-Bullying Week became another meaningful opportunity for our learners to practice these values in authentic and lasting ways.
