DIRECT & ATTRACTIVE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

We offer bachelor in economics (BECON), masters in economics (MECON) and PhD (Economics) programs at Kathmandu University School of arts (KUSOA). A degree major in economics open many possibilities for employment. Managerial training programs in many firms, including banks, other financial institutions, and large manufacturing companies, accept econom

ists in substantial numbers. There are also many opportunities for employment in government at the state, federal, or international levels. In addition, a growing number of research and consulting firms employ large numbers of economists in such areas as forecasting, industry analysis, NGO/INGO and litigation. Undergraduate economics provides excellent preparation for either business school or the study of law. since managers are always confronted with decisions about the allocation of scarce resources, it is not surprising that economics provides a useful background. Most business schools require their students to take several economics courses and look favorably on undergraduate training in this field.

1) Students are required to complete a comprehensive course in economics for seven semesters.

2) Course offered are always subject to the availability of appropriate faculty.

3) For the eight semester, students will also have to write a project report on the subject they have chosen and has been approved by the course coordinator.
