Kina Nepal: Learn from the Best - with Dr. Upendra Mahato

Nepal's future won't be built by policy alone - it'll be built by those who left, came back, and never stopped believing in it.

That was the thread running through yesterday's conversation with Dr. Upendra Mahato, Chairman of Nepal Mediciti and a driving force behind the Non-Resident Nepali movement.

He spoke on:

Today, Embark College had the privilege of hosting H.E. Dr. Danielle Meuwly, Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, for a thought-provoking session with our MBA and BSc. Business Management students.

As Switzerland and Nepal mark 70 years of diplomatic relations, Her Excellency traced the arc of a partnership built on trust and shared ambition. She drew on her own experience to show what Nepal can learn from the Swiss journey, and challenged our students to think seriously about building an entrepreneurial culture at home.

The room was focused from the first minute. Our students engaged with sharp, searching questions on innovation, leadership, and Nepal's economic future, and they left with ideas worth acting on and a clearer sense of the role they can play.

We've noticed something about the questions people don't ask in a crowded room - the honest ones about workload, pathways, what happens after year one, whether this is really the right fit. Those questions deserve a real answer, not a rehearsed one. So this week, we're skipping the formal setup entirely.

Prof. Dr. Stephen Driver - Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Roehampton and Honorary Principal here at Embark College - will be around campus, coffee in hand, open to whatever's actually on your mind.
