Himalaya College of Engineering warmly welcomed the newly enrolled students of 2083 Batch on Saturday, September 19, 2026 (2083/06/03), at Himalaya Infinity Hall. The event brought together the students from BE Computer, BE Electronics, Communication and Information, BE Civil, and B.Arch. programs, along with their parents, faculty members, and college officials.
The program was chaired by the Principal Dr. Rabindra Raj Giri and graced by distinguished guests, including Er. Ananda Raj Khanal, Chairman of Nepal Digital Leads and former Senior Director of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority; Mr. Raju Maharjan, Spokesperson of Lalitpur Metropolitan City and Chairperson of Ward No. 9; and renowned comedian and actor Mr. Kiran K.C.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of Panas lamp, followed by the national anthem. Vice Principal Assoc. Prof. Er. Ashok G.M. delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of discipline, academic engagement, professional ethics, and active participation in college life.
The Heads of Departments introduced their respective academic programs, shedding light on curriculum structures, learning opportunities, practical exposure, and professional prospects.
In his insightful address, Special Guest Er. Ananda Raj Khanal encouraged students to embrace emerging technologies, strengthen their digital competence, foster innovation, and develop problem-solving skills to contribute meaningfully to Nepalโs evolving technological landscape.
Mr. Raju Maharjan welcomed the students to the local community and emphasized responsible citizenship, social engagement, and strong relationships between educational institutions and the community.
Adding inspiration and energy to the occasion, Mr. Kiran K.C. shared valuable reflections from his professional journey, underscoring the importance of perseverance, self-confidence, discipline, and continuous effort.
Assoc. Prof. Kishor Gautam, Director of the College, reaffirmed the institutionโs commitment to providing a supportive academic environment, professional exposure, and opportunities for the holistic development of students.
The program also featured vibrant student performances, including dance and music, creating a joyful and memorable atmosphere. Tokens of appreciation were presented to the distinguished guests in recognition of their valuable presence and contributions.
The event concluded with the closing remarks and vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Rabindra Raj Giri, who expressed sincere gratitude to the guests, parents, faculty members, staff, and students.
