About AITM

The Asian Institute of Technology & Management (AITM) was registered on 20 June 2012 to offer high-quality national and international programs in Nepal. AITM is managed by educationists and professionals, having more than three decades of proven track record, with both national and international experience. AITM wishes to be a positive agent of change, within the country, regionally and internationally, by collaborating with AIT in Thailand, IMI University Center in Switzerland, and other internationally reputed academic institutions to draw upon their vast experience and track record in operating in multi-national and multi-cultural academic settings. The main aim of offering international programs in Nepal is to transform Nepalese institutions of higher education into outstanding seats of learning, equipped to foster high-quality education, scholarship and research, to produce enlightened citizens with strong moral and ethical values.

AITM has joined hands with Little Angels’ College (LAC) and Xavier Academy (XA),two privately owned and managed colleges, to form the Nepal Education Foundation – Consortium of Colleges, Nepal, now known by its acronym NEF-CCN. The main objective of forming this consortium was to create an entity that could become a national university by virtue of its physical facilities, academic programs and excellent academic track record. NEF-CCN’s long-term objective is to become a truly international university, with international programs, international faculty and students by 2020. NEF-CCN is building strategic alliances with reputable academic institutions in Asia and beyond to offer international academic programs, which can attract not only students from within the country but from Asia and beyond. NEF-CCN is fully committed to be a center of academic excellence in Asia. AITM is currently offering 2 international and 8 national programs. The total student enrollment is over 1,100.

National Programs

AITM offers several national programs in association with Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) of Nepal and Purbanchal University (PU). AITM is currently offering 8 national programs. AITM hopes to offer additional programs of reputed national universities in the near future.

International Programs

IMI University Center (Switzerland) Program

AITM, under the name of WhiteHouse Education Network, which is in the process of being rebranded as Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with IMI University Centre Switzerland, one of the most prestigious hospitality institutions in the world, on 25 February 2013, to renew the existing academic collaboration agreement by another 6 years to offer Higher Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management (HDHM) in Nepal. Prof. Dr. John Fenby, Dean of the IMI University Centre, Switzerland, signed on behalf of IMI University Centre and Prof. Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, Chairperson of Nepal Education Foundation – Consortium of Colleges, Nepal (NEF-CCN), signed on behalf of WHEN, AITM. Under this agreement, AITM can continue to offer the 3 years IMI Higher Diploma course in Nepal with the possibility of one additional year in IMI University Centre, Switzerland to complete the Bachelor degree with Honours. After completion of the Bachelor degree, students are eligible for internship in Switzerland. This arrangement will improve the employment prospects of our Nepalese students.

AITM Board and Academic Council

AITM is managed by a Board of Directors, chaired and co-chaired by academic professionals, who have spent almost 40 years in the education sector and have established well-reputed educational institutions. The quality of the AITM academic programs are ensured by an Academic Council, comprising of reputable academicians, with proven track record of academic leadership of some prestigious institutions.

AITM is being promoted by a varied group of mostly professionals, with both national and international experience, who have made a name for themselves in their respective areas of expertise and would very easily qualify to be in any list of eminent Nepalese.
