Pokhara University, School of Development and Social Engineering, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences announces new admission for Master in Population, Gender and Development (MPGD).
“Development Leadership for the Future”
# Program Features
1. Two –year master’s degree program, a total of 60 credit hours courses spreading over four semesters.
2. Focusing on theoretical and practical knowledge in development studies and research (Development Program Management, Development Program Monitoring and Evaluation, Sustainable Development, Social Engineering, Economic Development and Planning, Research Methods for Development Studies, Project Works, Planning Workshops, SPSS etc.) and elective/optional courses.
3. Realizing development through the lens of multi entities: State, Market, Civil Society/NGO, Human Right, Education, Population, communication, Poverty, Gender issues.
4. Participatory teaching and learning pedagogy using tools and techniques- multimedia projector, computer lab, high-speed internet etc.
5. Distinguished PU professors and esteemed practitioners in development arena are attached to our MPGD program.

# Career Opportunities
The MPGD graduates are most competent for professional jobs in the government and research, officer level and above posts in various NGOs/INGOs and CBOs in Nepal as well as in international arena. They are in high demand at UN Organizations, including UN Volunteers in development and humanitarian fields. They can also work as development freelancers, consultants and researchers or run their own projects on social enterprises.

Students who have successfully completed bachelor degree in any discipline can apply.
