Mr. Peter Wilson, a former peacekeeper in Timor speaks of NZ’s peace role in a war torn country, and his personal struggle between his personal convictions and the possibility he’d kill in the performance of his duties.

4) Peace, a refugee’s perspective

With millions on the move due to unrest in Syria, refugees are getting more attention than they usually do. Normally they are absent from the headlines and agendas, marginalised and powerless.
Aklilu Hibtit, Senior Cross Cultural Worker with Red Cross Refugee Services will address some of the issues and answer questions from personal and shared experience..
5) Practical Peace on our diverse campus…finding common ground.
What does it mean to mange & celebrate our diversity well here at Massey?

Chaplain Jill Shaw will bring some examples of how things can go badly wrong, and some suggestions as to how we can live well together, find common ground and be richer for it.
