Some people don't just practise chiropractic - they change its shape for everyone who comes after them.

Chiropractic in New Zealand looks the way it does today because of certain people whose decades of work went into shaping it - through education, research, leadership, and service that reached far beyond their own practices.

Every year, we get the chance to recognise those people through the New Zealand Order of Chiropractic - the highest honour our profession can bestow.

It isn't about a great year, a senior title, or a thriving practice. It's about legacy. The question we ask is simple: what would chiropractic in this country look like today if this person hadn't done what they did?

If someone comes to mind - a mentor, a colleague, a name that's been part of the profession's story for a long time - we'd love for you to put them forward. Nominations are confidential, and it takes nothing but a few minutes to honour someone who's earned it.

Nominations close Friday 28 August 2026.

The NZOC is a joint initiative of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and the New Zealand Chiropractors' Association.
