Otago innovation is heading to the world stage 🧠

Professor John Reynold is heading to Silicon Valley, where he will have two minutes to pitch his research to a panel of judges and international investors in the hopes of reaching the grand final of the Startup World Cup in November ✨🏆

His company, Neumic Therapeutics Ltd, researches the restoration of brain function for people affected by brain disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, brain tumours and tinnitus.

“We are developing a platform technology incorporating a wearable ultrasound headset, software for planning and monitoring treatment, and nanoscale drug-delivery packages that deliver drugs where and when needed in the brain,” John says.
