A big thank you to our former student, Eve, for visiting our English for University students and sharing her insights into studying at the University of Auckland!
Eve is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education TESOL (teaching English to Speakers of other Languages).
Having completed our English for University Course at the end of 2025, she shared how the course helped prepare her for university study.
Eve spoke about her personal experience, offered valuable advice and answered the many questions our students had about university life and what to expect.

One of our lovely students Dorris from China, studied our English for Business Course for 4 weeks and shared her experience of studying and living in New Zealand:

Honestly I have so much to say – everything was just perfect. The classmates, friends, teachers, the school….literally everyone and everything. When I was working late and too hungry and too tired to cook, my Thai friend would whip up delicious late-night snacks for me.
On weekends when I had nothing planned, my Taiwanese friends were always super welcoming, inviting me hiking or over for a BBQ at their place.
In class, doing group tasks with partners from Europe, they’d enthusiastically ask for a “give me five” after we finished.
After class, looking for food, my Japanese and Thai friends would wait for me everyday just so I could take them to find authentic Chinese food in Auckland – treating them to a big feast!
Countless fun extracurricular activities and such a vibrant multicultural vibe.
On the last day, I joined the school podcast to share my feelings, wrote “Peace and Joy” on my Brazilian classmate’s travel flag, and secretly wiped away tears after our hug.
Whenever saying goodbye, I always say “see you again,” because it really means we *will* meet again! (My global travel bucket list just got way longer hahaha, and now my network is basically worldwide).

Auckland ZOO welcomed 30 of our students this week! We were lucky enough to observe so many animals: tiger, zebras, giraffes, cheetah, kiwis etc… we had a fun afternoon!

What a fabulous FUN Cocktail Workshop Paname Social Matt helped us to concoct delicious drinks (with or without alcohol) while having a wonderful time together, meeting new friends and improving considerably our English speaking skills 😊

A visit to Cornwall Park to see the Cherry blossoms 🌸 is a must this time of the year. Students saw sheep and cows along the way as well as having some ice cream. A great afternoon!

Congratulations to one of our past student - Liudmila from Russia who graduated at AIS studying Master of Business Administration and Marketing.
Liudmila studied with us for 6 months before moving onto AIS.

Our lovely student Zoe from Belgium studied with us for 9 months from September 2025 to June 2026. Here is what she had to say about our school:
I really appreciate the contact that we can have with the teacher, especially Fiona who was always there for me. Thanks to her I got my Cambridge certificate, and with who I spent my time at the learning center to talk about my dream, Japan and many other topics.
The teachers are always there to help us, give some extra-information or just to practice the languages with some topics, activities and other.
I also like the connection with people at the school.
Everyone is from a different country with different languages and cultures but we all try to talk in English as much as possible for communicating, and sharing experiences.
My English skill improved really fast so after few weeks, I was able to have some conversation with people such as my host family or friends and be less lost in the country.
Thanks to the school, now I am able to study international business in English in the Nederland in an international school so thank you so much.
I really enjoy how we learn the languages with some games, activities, presentation, reading...everything was perfect.

Today we say goodbye to Stephane from New Caledonia who has been studying with us at Languages International for an incredible 1 year and 3 months!
Stephane joined us in June 2025 as an Elementary level student, and today he leaves us as an Advanced level student - what an achievement!
Throughout his time with us, Stephane worked incredibly hard and maintained an impressive 95% overall attendance. He truly made the most of his time at LI, not only attending his classes but also taking part in many of our Social Activities and organising his own activities with other students.

Stephane, we are so proud of everything you have achieved! Congratulations on all your hard work, dedication and progress. You came with a goal and accomplished it!
