The AUT Sustainability Collab and AUT Sustainability Team invite you for a special screening of "Toitū Te Whenua" as part of the Auckland Climate Festival 🎉 Join us to watch this highly acclaimed documentary, which will be followed by refreshments and a chance to meet the director, Geoff Reid!

Toitū Te Whenua is a documentary exploring the Bay of Plenty & Lakes District; the abundance, natural character and the many pressures and challenges our natural environment and people are faced with. The state of our forest remnants, lakes, rivers and estuaries tell us stories and lend clues to what needs our attention. The film explores the impacts industrial land-use and poor rules and regulations are having on our environment and human health.

Environmental advocate Geoff Reid talks with kaumatua and industry leaders about the urgent need for changes to safeguard living systems and human health.

Yesterday, we had the honour of hearing from Barry Coates, the Founder and CEO of Mindful Money! He shared his extensive knowledge around the measurement and reporting of social impact as well as the challenges many organizations face when doing so. Attendees also had the opportunity to use the Mindful Money website to explore what their KiwiSaver Funds invest in. This event was held in collaboration with the AUT Accounting Association and is the first of many as part of the Social Impact Series!
