RESULT TIME IS HERE!

After an intense few weeks in Australia, we’re incredibly proud of what the team achieved on and off track.

This years car was our most technical yet; from brand new HV battery and chassis designs to carbon wheels and topology-optimised titanium steering supports! But more importantly, it represented a huge year of learning that can be taken into future campaigns.

Despite facing unexpected electrical issues during the competition, the team showed resilience, adaptability and determination right through to the end. That effort paid off with some massive results:

🥇 1st - Engineering Design
🥇 1st - Acceleration
🥈 2nd - Skidpad
🥈 2nd - Endurance

Winning the Design Event was a huge highlight and a real testament to the team’s engineering knowledge and commitment to strong fundamentals.

A massive congratulations to UCM - University of Canterbury Motorsport on taking the overall EV class win! Awesome to see 1st place come back to Aotearoa, and well done to all the other teams who competed.

Once more, thank you to our sponsors and alumni, without which none of this campaign would be possible.

Excited for whats to come... watch this space... 🧡

How do we manufacture composite parts at FSAE47?

Our Aero Manufacture Lead Matthew explains why making parts like these is smooth sailing thanks to the 3D Printer Store - New Zealand.

This TR300 High Temp High Speed Resin has a 220° Celsius temperature resistance, and ensures our composite moulds have both precision and strength!
