Still buzzing from last week's conference in Ahuriri, Napier: Ūe ki te Taiao, Ūe ki te Whaiao, Tika Tonu Ūe: Navigating the Changing Landscape - Ūe. It was especially cool to see so many current students travelling from all over Aotearoa to connect with future colleagues. Also featured are some wonderful Massey alumnae - who are always part of the team

At the NZSTA conferences, inspirational practitioners are recognized for their excellence. This year, our programme leader, Associate Professor Mershen Pillay was awarded the Rangahau award. The Tohu Rangahau is a particularly important award. It recognises kaupapa Māori research and evaluation that is done by Māori, with Māori and for Māori. It is informed by tikanga Māori or Māori ways of doing things. Mershen is the first Tangata Tiriti to win this award.
