Auckland International Campus A shared education hub, enrolling international learners in programmes accredited by partner institutions (Future Skills and Otago Polytechnic).

The Otago Polytechnic Auckland International (OPAIC) Team is made up of individually selected lecturers and support staff, who come from a range of cultural backgrounds and countries. OPAIC is a vibrant and diverse campus recognising success is not defined by gender, background, ethnicity or disability. The OPAIC Team are committed to building a safe, positive and inclusive higher learning environment that celebrates diversity, skills and cultural perspectives. The Auckland International Campus is located in the heart of Central Auckland, popularly known as the ‘City of Sails’. It’s New Zealand’s largest urban area with a diverse multi-cultural population and world class facilities. The city has plenty to offer from upper class shopping experiences and excellent museums to international standard theatres, art galleries and festivals. Auckland has been ranked the third best city in the world for quality of life and the eighth most liveable*. *Mercer Quality of Life, 2016

All classes are taught in English, although many staff do speak other languages and can therefore assist students in their native language. The Auckland International Campus is a partnership between Otago Polytechnic and Future Skills Academy.

A well-deserved break after final submissions!

To wrap up Block 3, our students headed out to explore West Auckland.

It was a chance to step away from campus, unwind after a busy block, connect with friends and classmates, and experience a little more of what New Zealand has to offer. For some of our final-block students, the day was also a special way to mark the end of their AIC journey and create a few more memories together. 💜

AIC recently welcomed Mr Dinesh Khadka MNZM, JP, former Honorary Consul of Nepal, to campus for a special gathering with our Nepali student community.

The visit came at a difficult time, as communities across Nepal continue to face the aftermath of the devastating flash floods. It gave our students an opportunity to come together, share their concerns and hear about the support available to them here in New Zealand.

Mr Khadka encouraged students to reach out whenever support or guidance is needed and spoke about ways the wider community can contribute to Nepal’s relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts.

The gathering ended on a heartfelt note, with students and staff coming together in a group hug and calling out:
“Kia kaha, Nepal!”

Together in solidarity with Nepal. ❤️

Technology is not the transformation 💡
Our Management Information Systems students recently welcomed business transformation leader Véronique Pontoizeau for an engaging industry guest session.

Through real-world examples and an interactive client–vendor transformation case study, students explored what successful technology transformation really looks like from governance and vendor relationships to organisational change and business outcomes.

A huge thank you to Véronique for sharing her experience, insights and time with our students and helping bring MIS learning to life!
