DIAMOND

DIAMOND This study has been awarded a HRC programme grant.

This trial is the first of its kind worldwide to look at different feeding strategies for moderate to late preterm babies and the effects on short and long term outcomes. The aim of this study is to investigate different feeding methods used to support nutrition of moderate- to late-preterm babies (32 - 35+6 weeks' gestation) in the neonatal intensive care units while full feeds of breast milk are

being established. We hope to find out the best way to feed these preterm babies following birth to maximise their growth, health and development and improve the care of other preterm babies in the future.
