Pleasing event commemorating the March 15, 3019 terrorist attack on two Christchurch mosques. We welcomed mosque people, a Quaker and others. About 40 people attended to. remember the 51 worshippers who needlessly died and commemorate our multi-cultural society.

David Bolom-Smith rang the first of 10 strokes of the NZ World Peace Bell at start of the Canterbury anniversary earthquake concert on nearby lawn in Chch Botanic Gardens. The concert was cancelled to the public owing to Covid-19 issues but was live streamed with the planned WPB introduction.

We will toll Bell 10 times prior to 2 pm. The earthquake anniversary concert is to be live streamed and will include Bell ringing.

Canberra Rotary Peace Bell commenorated our earthquake 10th anniversary this week with high profile Canberra dignitaries tolling the World Peace Bell. I am humbled having founded the New Zealand World Peace Bell.

New Zealand World Peace Bell hosted one of five events nationwide commemorating UN International Holocaust Day. 200 + participants attended. Inspiring speakers including Human rights Commissioner, Paul Hunt, who praised the contributions Holocaust refugees have made to our country. Overall a very satisfactory first 2021 event for the NZ World Peace Bell.
