What a truly fabulous lunch at Dux Dine today! So wonderful to laugh, chat and enjoy each other’s company, getting to know our wonderful new members and catch up with long term friends!
🌸🌼🩷💛 Spring was definitely in the air as we dined in to the afternoon! Thank you all to those who came! And hi to those who couldn’t make it!

💛 Service in Action 💛🫶🌼
A little extra project for our to support the Cancer Society Canterbury with a special hands-on service project.
Members of our Service Committee got together to sew beautiful handmade hearts for breast cancer patients, while also supporting fundraising for health and travel allowances.
And they’re not finished yet! 💛 The team plans to get together again at a later date to continue sewing and supporting this wonderful initiative.
A great example of Zonta members turning care into action and making a difference in our local community.

Including 3 International Committees, Retention, Mentorship Program, and Conventions & Voting! Not to mention locally the Z Club Chair and Club nominating and PR committees! We are all grateful for your dedication and time!
We now congratulate you on your new position in Zonta International Membership Committee, as Lead (Chair) on the ZI Student Clubs! We look forward to the difference you can make for the Z and Golden Z around our world!

💛🌼A huge congratulations to our wonderful Marie Kyle-Stevenson on her appointment as District 16 Governor for the 2026-2028 Biennium! 💛
With Marie’s friendly, positive “let’s do it” attitude, we know District 16 will be in wonderful hands. Her enthusiasm, kindness and dedication to Zonta make her an exceptional leader, and we’re excited to see her continue leading with fun, purpose and a genuine passion for making a difference for women and girls.
We could not be prouder and wish Marie every success as she begins this exciting new chapter. Congratulations, Governor Marie!
Keep an eye on our page over the coming days as we celebrate more of our Christchurch Zonta members who have stepped into exciting District 16 leadership roles for the new biennium. We can’t wait to share their achievements too!

🌎💛🌼 What an unforgettable experience at the 67th Zonta International Convention in Vancouver, Canada!
💛 Members from around the world came together to celebrate our achievements, strengthen friendships and help shape the future of Zonta International. We voted on important international projects and initiatives for the new biennium, heard from inspiring speakers, celebrated outstanding achievements, and welcomed our new International President Fernando and Board. And our very own Marie Kyle-Stevenson as our new D16, New Zealand Governor (more on this on the next post).
💛 One of the highlights was reconnecting with friends from across the globe and making new connections with Zontians who all share the same passion for building a better world for women and girls.
💛 Many delegates also enjoyed exploring beautiful Vancouver and Canada before and after Convention, making the most of this special opportunity to experience the local culture, scenery and hospitality.
💛 Our Christchurch members are returning inspired, energised and looking forward to sharing what we’ve learned as we continue our work in our local community and beyond.

Another amazing meeting ✨
Our ladies are getting ready for convention with Chris wearing a beautiful cape that her daughter made. This has paua shells attached, designed to look like the southern alps and will be worn at convention to represent New Zealand 🧡🌟 Chris has also made badges for all attending 🫶

Our guest speaker was Faye from Big Brothers Big Sisters. They have been operating in Christchurch for over 22 years.
They help 40 new children a year with 1 on 1 mentor program with weekly outings or school visits for at least 1 year.
After 12 months they see higher confidence, self esteem and more classroom participation!
Big Brothers Big Sisters next fundraiser is the Big Sheep Trail 🐑 Starting in Jan 2027 there will be a trail of Shaun the Sheep throughout Christchurch designed by schools and businesses. They will be auctioned off in April to raise money to support more mentoring for children in the community 👏🌼💛

🫶⭐️♥️❤️🎄THANK YOU to all who supported, worked, bought tickets, dressed their homes, drove, helped and more… what a wonderful Zonta Christmas Trail… Town & Country, rain & sunshine! It certainly felt like Christmas! The Gingerbread cookies, Hot Chocolate & Marshmallows to lunch at Melton Estate with a marketplace too and finishing with some shopping and bubbles 🥂at The Christmas Hut… thank you to all. We know our charity From One Mother To Another and other charities will benefit gratefully from today’s event!
