We are currently selling our 2021 stock of honey!

Jars are 1kg for $20.00 in glass jars and with paper labels.

We deliver for free to your doorstep in Palmerston North, Feilding and Ashhurst on Wednesdays.

As usual, our stock changes as we only bottle our honey in small batches. We like to blend our darker floral honey with our lighter clover stock to produce a beautiful tasting mid toned honey.

Thank you to all our current customers for your ongoing support during lockdowns and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Thanks
Matt and Family

Introducing our new paper labels!

Typically in a label, we look for vinyl to ensure durability when wet, cleaning, honey dribbles and temperature changes.
This paper label has none of those features - It has no durability when wet and crinkles with temperature variations... and we love that because it's a small price to pay when looking out for the environment.

We're asking our customers to please give us feedback on this issue.

Would you rather a vinyl non-recyclable label that looks good long term or a paper label with no durability that's great for the environment?

We look forward to, and value, your feedback.

Thank you to everyone who has contacted us throughout the lockdown regarding buying our honey. We are currently awaiting honey testing results for Tutin then we will ready to commence sales again.

Tutin is a poisonous compound that can be found in honey in New Zealand. In a long hot dry summer like the one we've just had, the passion vine hopper drinks the sap of the Tutu plant and excretes a sticky substance called honeydew which the bees then collect and store as honeydew honey. A single cell in a frame of this honey could kill. Livestock will die if they eat this plant.
The Manawatu is considered very low risk for tutin and we have historically always been clear but we know from talking to locals that Tutu is growing in our region so we continue to test just to be sure.

Sales will continue to be contactless delivery or pick up from our home letterbox with payment preferably via internet banking in advance.

I'm feeling pretty excited about this season's honey flow. I've been building boxes the last few days then I'll be painting, and waxing frames inbetween throwing empty boxes (supers) onto my hives. Some of my urban hives are already 4 and 5 boxes high (including a single brood box), whereas my country apiaries where clover is predominant are only 3 to 4 boxes high.
