Kia ora koutou,
Please read below.
Have you ever taken a course at Massey University involving a placement, practicum, internship, laboratory-based learning, or work-integrated learning? ๐ฉบ๐ฌ๐ทโโ๏ธ
Have you ever felt like you weren't too sure what it was you needed to have in order to enrol and succeed โ or whether accommodations ('rea*onable adjustments') were available to help you thrive?
Massey University is proposing a new Inherent Requirements Policy that helps to outline โ
๐ต How and where the University publishes inherent requirements (knowledge, abilities, and standards of conduct you will need to participate in a course).
๐ต When rea*onable adjustments are (and aren't) available.
๐ต Which kinds of courses need to provide information about inherent requirements and rea*onable adjustments.
๐ต Who makes decisions about inherent requirements and rea*onable adjustments.
For this Policy, Massey University is seeking your feedback! You might want to ask yourself โ
๐ต Do you think the Policy is in plain language?
๐ต Do you think it helps to make sure students can make informed decisions?
๐ต Do you think rea*onable adjustments are well described, and meet the needs of students?
๐ต What would you like to see changed?
