Semester A Recap:

Semester A so far has seen opportunities for great professional growth, meaningful connections, and strong engagement across our events and initiatives. From networking opportunities, workshops and panels to competitions and social events, it has been rewarding to see our community continue to grow and support one another.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and enthusiasm throughout the semester. We look forward to building on this momentum for the rest of this semester and on to the next semester !

⚖️ FAMILY LAW WEEK | 25–28 MAY ⚖️

Norris Ward McKinnon Family Law Week is back for 2026, with opportunities to get involved, build advocacy skills, and engage with those in the profession.

Our Regional Family Law Moot will take place across the week, with prelims on the 25th and 26th of May, semi-finals on the 27th, and the final on the 28th. Waikato Regional winner will then progress to the Nationals round, held on the 22nd–23rd of August.

For those competing, a moot workshop will also be run to help you prepare.

We will also be hosting a Family Law Panel on the 28th of May at 4pm MSB 1.36, held ahead of the Moot Final - a great opportunity to hear from practitioners before the Regional Moot Final.

Whether you’re competing or just keen to come along and support, we’d love to see you there. Keep an eye on our page for updates 👀

Norris Ward McKinnon Family Law Week is back for 2026, with opportunities to get involved, build advocacy skills, and engage with those in the profession.

The Fulbright New Zealand team will be visiting the University of Waikato next week as part of our outreach programme.

They will be hosting an information session on Tuesday, 28 April from 2.00–3.00 pm, Pa 1.51
