UWC offers Academic English for students preparing for university or tertiary study in an English
-speaking university. The General English programme offers an exciting opportunity for people from around the world to learn everyday English and prepares students going into Academic English. We can also offer customized programmes to groups. Foundation
The Foundation Studies Programme is a pre-degree programme specifically designed to prepare international high-school graduates for degree study, where English is an additional language. The Certificate in University Preparation programme (CUP) is for students who have not met University Entrance or who need additional academic preparation. International Diploma
The International Diploma in Business or Computer Science enables students to progress into year two of the Bachelor of Business or Computer Science or Science at Waikato. A comprehensive programme of academic support and development activities ensures you are well prepared to complete a Bachelor of Business in three years of study. The Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation-Pre-Masters enables you to obtain the English language, academic literacy, and personal and professional skills you need to progress to postgraduate studies at University of Waikato’s Triple Crown accredited business school. IELTS assesses the language ability of candidates IELTS covers all four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking, and is offered in two test formats - Academic and General Training. Tests are offered in both Hamilton and Tauranga.
