We have had a fantastic day today sharing the research | rangahau being undertaken by our kaimahi across both Early Childhood Education and Primary schools in Hawke’s Bay. Our research posters will remain up in the tari so feel free to pop in and find out about this important mahi for our sector

To celebrate te wiki o te reo Māori, Te Rito Maioha ki Heretaunga have focussed on ‘te wā kāwhe’ (coffee time) as our te reo Māori domain. Each time (which can be plenty) that we want to order our kāwhe or are hosting our manuhiri at the takiwā or whānau at the marae, te reo Māori flourishes within this domain. Here we have Jody ordering at our locally owned pakihi Māori, Puāwai ordering her kāwhe and kai in te reo Māori with one of the kaimahi, Tilly. Ka wani kē koe kōrua!

Happy NZ National Dumpling Day (tomorrow)!
At our takiwā āko, we took the most of this opportunity to enjoy our favorite kai-饺子 (Jiaozi) -dumplings, in鍋貼 (guō tiē) pan-fried style with some fresh vegie toppings.
Some of our tauira experienced dumpling-making at noho, so why not trying again tomorrow?
