From national competition to social sport and recreation, our Sports and Healthy Living Initiative is helping more Lincoln students get involved!

Thanks to the generous support of Rabobank New Zealand, ANZCO Foods and Scales, the initiative has supported students across basketball, volleyball, netball, rowing, running, racket sports, tramping and more.

If you would like to contribute to this fund, please contact the alumni team at [email protected]

A great afternoon at Lincoln University on Saturday for the Old Rivals pre-match function and annual inter-varsity rugby clash.

Unfortunately, UC Old Maroons retained the Hart O’Reilly Trophy for 2026, with the Rams going down 41–21 after leading 7–5 at halftime.

A big congratulations to the LU Ewes, who had a strong win over Christchurch, finishing 38–15.

Thanks to LURFC, LU alumni, UC Old Maroons and past players who came together for an afternoon of rugby and a few friendly rivalries.

It was great to co-host with the NZ Parks Leaders Forum, and welcome alumni and friends to campus for the Parks Leaders Forum Professional Development Day at Lincoln University last week.

The day connected students, alumni, and industry through presentations, sharing research, and a networking session, finishing with the hot topic debate led by Kim Hill. Lincoln's lecturers delivered taster sessions in the new Master of Parks Management, one of Lincoln’s latest taught programmes.

Lincoln Alumna Sam Strong, a Senior Planner at Thrive Spaces and Places, spoke about her experience in the industry and shared her insights into the value of Lincoln's qualifications.
