You've probably driven past a Freemasons lodge a hundred times without giving it a second thought. freemasonsnz.org Please like, follow and share our posts.

You've driven past that Masonic lodge 100 times... ever wonder why YOUR life changes the moment you walk inside? Here's the truth most people miss...
*Maybe you've been curious.
*Maybe someone you respect is a member.
But for whatever reason, you haven't taken that step yet.
Here's the truth. Joining your local lodge has the potential to change your life in ways you don't expect. And we don't say that lightly.

We live in a time where most people are disconnected.
We scroll through feeds, wave to neighbours we barely know, and get on with our days in isolation.
Your local lodge is the answer to that.
It's a place where men from all walks of life come together with a shared purpose.
Different careers, different backgrounds, different ages.
When you walk through those doors, you're not just joining a club.
You're stepping into a brotherhood that has existed in your community for generations. You're connecting with men who are committed to making themselves better and making the world around them better in the process.

Freemasonry isn't just about showing up.
It challenges you.
It asks you to think about who you are, how you treat others, and what kind of man you want to become.
Your local lodge becomes a space where you're encouraged to grow.
Not through pressure, but through mentorship, meaningful conversation, and timeless teachings that have guided men for centuries.
Many brothers will tell you that joining their lodge was a turning point.
Not because something dramatic happened overnight, but because it gave them a framework for living with more intention, more integrity, and more purpose.

One of the most overlooked aspects of Freemasonry is the work that happens locally. Your lodge isn't some distant organisation operating behind closed doors.
It's your neighbours, your coworkers, your friends. All working together to support the community you share.
From scholarships and charity events to simply being there for one another during hard times, the impact of a local lodge is real. You see it in the families that are helped, the young people who are supported, and the bonds that hold a community together.
When you join, you're not just a member. You become an active force for good right where you live.

If you've been thinking about it, stop waiting.
Speak to your local lodge, ask questions, meet the brothers, and see for yourself what it's all about. You don't have to have all the answers going in. That's the whole point.
The door is open. All you have to do is walk through it.
Ready to take the first step?

Everyoneโ€™s got an opinion on Freemasonry.

Half of itโ€™s made up. The other halfโ€™s from a bloke who โ€œknows a guy.โ€

Realityโ€™s a lot less dramaticโ€ฆ and a lot more real.

Itโ€™s just good men, from all walks, getting together regularly.

No egos. No pretending. Just time out from the noise of everything else.

Some nights are serious.
Some nights are just laughs and catching up.
Most nights are a bit of both.

You donโ€™t have to explain yourself. You donโ€™t have to compete.

You just turn up and be yourself.

Thatโ€™s it.

Thatโ€™s the part people donโ€™t see.

The New Zealand Cornerstone Lodge No. 479 meeting 11th April, held at Inglewood Lodge rooms.

A great turn out at the NZCL meeting held prior to the Installation of Lodge Whangamลmona No. 234

A presentation was given by Junior Warden of NZCL Bro Brady Whale, on the topic of Secrecy and Penalties and how they play their part in Freemasonry. Great discussions were had during the presentation from the brethren attending.

The New Zealand Cornerstone Lodge holds a peripatetic charter which allows them to meet anywhere across the country, this allows the lodge to connect directly with the new and young brethren.

On 17th of May a group on Taranaki Freemasons under the guise of "Taranaki Masonic Riders" will join in the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride for men's health, a worldwide motorcycle fundraiser.

The goal is to raise $300 (NZD) towards the cause.

**Celebrating 15 Years of Riding Dapper
The Distinguished Gentlemanโ€™s Ride unites classic and vintage styled motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and menโ€™s mental health.

The Distinguished Gentlemanโ€™s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Menโ€™s Don Draper astride a classic motorcycle and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives.
