You care deeply about your students. But complex intercultural dynamics, stretched workplaces, and high-stakes boundary situations can leave even the most experienced practitioners feeling underprepared.

ISANA NZ's Professional Boundaries training was built with this in mind.

In partnership with Umbrella Wellbeing, we've brought together the three focus points:

🔹 Clarity on professional boundaries and psychosocial safety
🔹 Real de-escalation skills for real workplace moments
🔹 Intercultural competencies grounded in the IDIR framework

Grounded in the realities of working with international learners in Aotearoa, and aligned with the Education (Pastoral Care) Code of Practice 2021.

Half-day or full-day. In-person or online. Customisable for your team.

Dominique Trueman - How Partner Institutions Can Support International Student Experience - Cross-Border Kōrero Episode 4

In our latest Cross-Border Kōrero, we sat down with Dominique Trueman from Student Safe to explore how they partner with host institutions to support the international student experience in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Dom shares some really thoughtful insights, including how Student Safe has responded to the growing focus on mental health and wellbeing and removing exclusions for pre-existing conditions to ensure no student faces barriers to getting the support they need.

💬 "We don't want to sit in the background as an insurer. We want to be at the forefront."

A reminder of what makes the international education sector in New Zealand so special — small enough to muck in together, collaborate, and genuinely make a difference for students.

Thank you Dom and the team at Student Safe for being a valued gold partner of ISANA NZ.
