What are our alumni up to?

Meet Corbyn, who studied at Pathways in 2024 and is now actively serving and sharing his faith in his community.

Alongside his friend Joel, Corbyn is reaching out to people in Palmerston North, offering conversation, prayer, food and the love of Jesus. It’s encouraging to see Pathways alumni putting their faith into action and stepping up to serve.

Faith in action looks like this.

For Zera, studying at Pathways Bible College has gone hand in hand with serving as a children’s ministry intern at Oak Lane Community Church.

It’s been a year of adventure, challenge and growth — putting learning into practice, developing ministry skills and growing in her relationship with God.

šŸ“š Find resources and more information to help you learn and use te reo Māori here: šŸ‘‰ https://www.reomaori.co.nz/
šŸŽ§ Listen to Karanga Mai by Te Rautini - it includes the first half of the Lord’s prayer in te reo Māori, and expresses the desire to be realigned to the way of Jesus.

This week, our Pathways whānau came together for a wānanga with Jason Henderson from Shaper/Strengths Network.
A great day of kōrero, learning more about each other’s strengths and skills, and exploring how we can better support and work together as a team.
Such a valuable day of connecting and learning more about each other. Thanks heaps, Jason, for sharing your time and knowledge with us! šŸ¤

Are we taking longer to become adults than we used to? šŸ¤”

Yes, say sociologists. Young people today are typically getting married, having kids, starting a career, and buying a house—the traditional milestones of adult life—much later than their grandparents. Sociologists are calling this new stage of life "emerging adulthood".

In this episode, Richard talks with Dr. Sam Bloore about this phenomenon and what it means for young people, their parents, and the church leaders who shepherd them.šŸ™Œ
