Balancing work, study, and launching a business isn’t easy, but for Cromwell local Sam Taylor, flexibility made it possible.

As a seafarer and owner of Cromwell Winery Cruises, Sam chose to study the online Certificate in Small Business through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, giving him the freedom to learn on his own schedule.

The programme helped him refine his ideas, build confidence, and gain the tools to move his business forward.

In 2024, Bryce Marsh began a journey of healing and growth through the Manaaki Tangata programme at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Navigating the justice system as takatāpui was isolating and it inspired him to create change for others.

Now studying He Puāwai in Kawerau, Bryce is working toward a future in hauora, giving back to his community and uplifting takatāpui and Māori whānau.
