Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week's webinar, Te reo Māori in a Clinical Setting with Kaikōrero manuhiri, Ella Sargent, Founder & Director of Manawa Māori.

A recording of the webinar is now available to watch on demand from your NZSA Member Dashboard (login required) 👉 https://anaesthesia.nz/member_resources/te-reo-maori-in-a-clinical-setting/
Plus, two new resource cards - Hui Process Framework and Karakia Reference Card, and audio recordings of the opening and closing karakia referenced in the webinar.

These new resources were designed in collaboration with Manawa Māori to assist NZSA members with bringing te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into clinical practice with confidence, and to offer karakia in a way that lands genuinely.

We know solvency is a fundamental requirement for a healthy company. Now, what if we could apply the same thinking to track the health of our planet? And what if you could look at an anaesthetic from end to end and see exactly how it draws down on the planet’s whole budget? We delve into this and Planetary Accounting, an initiative that can help us see the full environmental impact of our footprint in the latest issue of Te Puna Kairehu - Read more at https://kairehu.anaesthesia.nz/planetaryaccounting/

Tonight! There's still time to register

Webinar: Te reo Māori in a clinical setting, with guest speaker Ella Sargent from Manawa Māori.
📅Tues 19 May, 6.30pm
✔️Register now [https://anaesthesia.nz/news/webinar12026]

If you've already registered, Zoom will re-send you your unique link to join us ~1 hour before we start.

This NZSA member exclusive webinar will cover bringing te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into clinical practice with confidence, and how to offer karakia in a way that lands genuinely.
It will discuss:
- Why tikanga Māori integration is increasingly expected in Aotearoa healthcare. Specifically, why the anaesthetic encounter is one of the most significant places to get this right.
- What karakia is, and what it isn’t and how to deliver it to patients without it feeling tokenistic. With context specific guidance.
- The meeting process as a practical clinical framework. Five phases mapped to real anaesthetic scenarios, and how to structure an encounter so everyone feels heard, decisions land with weight, and you leave having actually connected.
- Practical, low-barrier entry points with pronunciation of te reo Māori already in the clinical environment.
Register via the link above

This is an NZSA member-exclusive webinar.
