1. HOME OF THE SA SUPPORTERS IN WELLINGTON
1.1. SOUTH AFRICAN SUPPORTERS HQ
The Springbok team will be based in Wellington for 17 days; we are
pleased to announce that The Cambridge Hotel will be the home base for
Springbok supporters in Wellington. The base will be decorated with
official SA rugby material and point of sale; we will serve traditional
food and drinks. The aim will be to provide a home from home for
supporters, administrators and players so they can meet to share stories
and have a good time. The Cambridge Hotel is able to provide the following:
* A base for ruby lovers and Springbok supporters
* The Cambridge hostel has a strong rugby association, with the
proposed area doubling as the club rooms for University Old Boys.
* The Hotel has a separate function area that will be the supporters
base
* The function area has a large inside BBQ facility
* Trinity and the hotel management want to add value to the touring
supports, team and management, building strong relationships.
* The Cambridge hotel will have staff available to register people in
the supporters HQ.
* 48 room hotel, so it provides accommodation opportunities
Apart from providing a base for people to meet, eat and enjoy we would
like to look at other opportunities for the supporters.
1.2. SPORTING |+|AMP|+| TOURIST EVENTS
Traveling with your rugby team from SA - no problem we can organise a
friendly game against one of the many local clubs. Let us know the level
of opposition and a date -we will do the rest. Want a round of golf with your mates or you need to find a 4 ball - no
problem we can arrange it all at a local golf club. If you want to see the sights or do a wine tour - no problem we can
make the arrangements and book the trip for you.
1.3. BUSINESS MEETINGS
We want to help facilitate business between South Africa and New
Zealand. We can arrange formal and informal business meetings where we
host a number of events where local business people are invited to meet
informally with specific SA business people. All we need you to do is register your interest on our web site, with
some details about you and your business and we will make the business
connections and contacts for you and even arrange the introduction. If you want to host a meeting, drinks, event or cocktail party, let us
know and e will put the package together at one of our many sites in
Wellington. All our activities are supported by the SA High Commission in
Wellington and the SOUTH AFRICAN SUPPORTERS CLUB (_www.sasc.org.nz
