We’re stoked to present our first club event of Trimester 2: movie night at the Embassy Theatre! 🇩🇪🎞️

Today (July, 17th) at 6:15pm courtesy of the Wellington Film Society and the Goethe Institut. Entry free for Film Society members, koha at the door for non members.

"Painstakingly assembled through never-before-seen archival footage, 'B-Movie' shows the slippery counterculture underbelly of Berlin that drew artists, musicians, and iconoclasts into its heady orbit. With the Wall slicing through the city, the hedonism of West Berlin is cranked up to 11 compared to the Soviet regime of the East.

This is a film for those who were there—or wish they were!"

See you there on Monday! 🎞️🍿

As you all may be aware of, German, out of many language courses and other courses are on the potential cutting block at Victoria University of Wellington. We believe that there is another way to deal with this current dilemma. Languages are a universal way for others to connect with each other from all parts of the world!

Wir bitten um Ihre Hilfe! Sign the petition below, and to help spread the cause, please share the petition to others!

We especially don't want to see German be removed from VUW.

Vielen Dank für deine Hilfe!

A moratorium on job cuts will allow time for a sector wide discussion of the chronic underfunding of the sector and formation of alternative solutions.
