📢 Wanted—research assistant!

The Co-Directors of the New Zealand Centre for Public Law, Dean Knight and Marnie Lloydd, are looking for a research assistant to support Centre activities.

The work will include assisting with events management, supporting updates to the Centre’s website, and other research and support activities as required.

A particular part of the work will involve administrative support to the Organising Committee of the 2026 Annual Conference of the Australia and New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL) - an important conference which will be held at the law school in the first week of July 2026. The ANZSIL Conference Organising Committee is co-chaired by Marnie Lloydd and Professor Treasa Dunworth (Auckland Law School). The research assistant role will provide a great opportunity to see the inner workings of planning a large international conference.

👉 Interested?

This would suit a senior LLB, LLB(Hons) or postgraduate student with an interest in public law (understood widely to include NZ government law, public international law, comparative law etc.) who is available for approximately 100 hours of work beginning in February 2026, including presence in Wellington during the first week of July 2026.

To apply, please email a short expression of interest and CV to Sherry Elliott [email protected]

Applications close on Friday 28 November.
