يسعدنا أن نُعلن عن انطلاق المعرض السنوي لقسم التخطيط العمراني والتصميم المعماري (UPAD) لعام 2026، والذي سيقام يوم الخميس، 25 يونيو 2026، في مركز تاريخ العلوم من الساعة 9:00 صباحًا وحتى 2:00 ظهرًا.

حيث يستكشف المعرض العلاقات المتبادلة بين الإنسان والمساحات والثقافات والبيئات، مستعرضًا مقترحات مشاريع تخرج مرحلة البكالوريوس الجماعية، بما في ذلك “قصص الحدود والنطاقات والحواف: في مساحات الانتقال والاتصال”، و”جسر السيب: العيش في الوادي”، و”الممر”، إلى جانب أعمال مختارة من مساقات المشروع المتكامل، والتاريخ، والتصميم بمساعدة الحاسوب (CAD)، والتصميم العمراني 1.

كما سيعلن القسم خلال المعرض عن الفائز بجائزة UPAD الشرفية لهذا العام، والتي تمنح تقديرًا للإنجازات الاستثنائية والتميز الأكاديمي والنزاهة التصميمية والعمق الفكري في مشاريع التخرج.

The UPAD Annual Exhibition 2026 will take place on Thursday, 25 June 2026, at the History of Science Center from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The exhibition explores the relationships between people, spaces, cultures, and environments, showcasing collective Bachelor’s thesis proposals, including “Stories of Borders, Boundaries and Edges: On Spaces of Transition and Connection”, “Ponte Al Seeb: Wadi Living”, and “The Corridor”, along with selected works from the Integrated Project, History, CAD, and Urban Design 1 courses.

During the exhibition, the UPAD Department will announce the recipient of this year’s UPAD Honor Award. The award recognizes exceptional achievement in the Bachelor’s Thesis within the Department of Urban Planning and Architectural Design, celebrating academic excellence, design integrity, and intellectual rigor as demonstrated through a student’s final thesis project.

يواصل مركز عُمان للهيدروجين في الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان تعزيز منظومة الهيدروجين الأخضر عبر شراكات استراتيجية، واستنادًا إلى مذكرة التفاهم لمبادرة نور بريدج الموقّعة في القمة العالمية للهيدروجين 2026 بروتردام، يعمل على توطيد التعاون وتبادل المعرفة بين عُمان وهولندا.

وفي 15 يونيو 2026، دشّنت الجامعة مختبر H2 Lab تحت رعاية معالي المهندس سالم بن ناصر العوفي، وزير الطاقة والمعادن، حيث رحِّب رسميًا بمركز عُمان للهيدروجين وأسياد وهايدروم في مبادرة نور بريدج، مع انضمام هايدروم عضوًا مؤسسًا جديدًا إلى جانب: H3 (HHMC)، وTNO، وجامعة أفانس، وميناء روتردام، ومجموعة أسياد، وميناء صحار والمنطقة الحرة.

وتعكس هذه الإنجازات التزامًا مشتركًا ببناء مستقبل مستدام قائم على اقتصاد الهيدروجين.

The Oman Hydrogen Centre (OHC) at GUtech continues to strengthen Oman’s green hydrogen ecosystem through strategic partnerships. Building on the NoorBridge MOU signed at the World Hydrogen Summit 2026 in Rotterdam, OHC fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange between Oman and the Netherlands.

On 15 June 2026, GUtech inaugurated the H2 Lab under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals. The event welcomed OHC, Asyad, and Hydrom to the NoorBridge initiative, with Hydrom joining as a New Founding Member alongside H3 (HHMC), TNO, Avans University, the Port of Rotterdam, ASYAD Group, Sohar Port & Freezone, and the Oman Hydrogen Centre.

These milestones reflect a shared commitment to accelerating the clean energy transition and shaping a sustainable hydrogen future.

نفخر في معهد عمان لخدمات التدريب بالجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان بتنظيم ورشة عمل للصف القيادي بوزارة الصحة ضمن برنامج “قيادة الثقافة المؤسسية لتحقيق التميز

ركزت الورشة على دور القيادات في بناء ثقافة مؤسسية إيجابية، وتعزيز قيم التميز والابتكار، وتمكين فرق العمل لتحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية بكفاءة وفعالية.

Oman Institute for Training Services at GUtech was proud to deliver a workshop for the Ministry of Health leadership team as part of the “Leading Organizational Culture for Institutional Excellence” program.

في خطوة استراتيجية تعكس التزام سلطنة عُمان بتعزيز الابتكار والاستدامة وترسيخ مكانتها مركزًا إقليميا للتقنيات المستقبلية، دشّنت الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان، تحت رعاية معالي المهندس سالم بن ناصر العوفي، وزير الطاقة والمعادن، مختبر الهيدروجين المطبوع بتقنية الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد، بدعم من أوكيو لشبكات الغاز.

ويُعد المشروع الأول من نوعه على مستوى المنطقة لدمج تقنيات الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد مع حلول الطاقة النظيفة المعتمدة على الهيدروجين، حيث يوفر المختبر بيئة حية للتجريب والتطوير والتعاون بين الأكاديميين والباحثين والشركاء الصناعيين.

ويأتي هذا الإطلاق امتدادًا لسجل الجامعة الحافل في مجال الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد، ودعمًا لاستراتيجية الهيدروجين في عُمان ومستهدفات الحياد الكربوني بحلول عام 2050.

In a strategic step reflecting the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to advancing innovation and sustainability and reinforcing its position as a regional hub for future technologies, the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) inaugurated its 3D-Printed Hydrogen Laboratory under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, with support from OQGN.

The project is the first of its kind in the region to integrate 3D-printing technologies with clean hydrogen-based energy solutions, with the laboratory providing a dynamic environment for experimentation, development, and collaboration among academics, researchers, and industry partners.

The launch builds on GUtech’s strong track record in 3D printing and supports Oman’s Hydrogen Strategy and its net-zero goals by 2050.

شارك مركز عُمان للهيدروجين بالجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عمان في
الملتقى الخامس للهيدروجين بآخن 2026 في ألمانيا، والذي أقيم يومي 19 و20 مايو 2026، جامعاً نخبة من الباحثين والخبراء الدوليين لمناقشة أحدث تطورات وتقنيات الهيدروجين وسلاسل الإمداد.

وخلال الملتقى، قدّمت المهندسة فاطمة الحجرية ورقة بحثية استعرضت فيها القبول المجتمعي لطاقة الهيدروجين في سلطنة عُمان، مبرزةً الدور المحوري للتوعية وإشراك المجتمع في دعم التحول نحو اقتصاد طاقة مستدام. وتجسد هذه المشاركة التزام المركز بالتميز البحثي وتوسيع آفاق التعاون الدولي لتعزيز حلول الطاقة النظيفة.

ويتوجه المركز بخالص الشكر والتقدير لمنظمي الملتقى والمشاركين على ما أتاحته هذه التظاهرة العلمية من فرص قيّمة للتبادل العلمي والتواصل المهني.

The Oman Hydrogen Centre at GUtech proudly participated in the 5th Aachen Hydrogen Colloquium 2026 ( ) in Germany, held on 19–20 May 2026. The event brought together global experts to discuss the latest advancements in hydrogen technologies.

During the colloquium, Eng. Fatema Al Hajri presented her research on the social acceptance of hydrogen energy in Oman, highlighting the critical role of public awareness and stakeholder engagement in driving the transition toward a green economy. This participation reflects the Centre’s commitment to research excellence and fostering international collaboration for a sustainable future.

The Centre extends its sincere appreciation to the organizers and participants for a successful event filled with valuable scientific exchange and global networking opportunities.

نظّمت الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان (جيوتك) لقاءً خاصًا لموظفيها بمناسبة عيد الأضحى المبارك، في أجواءٍ سادتها الألفة والبهجة والضيافة العُمانية الأصيلة.
وأتاح اللقاء فرصةً لتبادل التهاني وتعزيز الروابط بين الزملاء احتفاءً بهذه المناسبة المباركة.

تتألق الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عمان (GUtech) مجددًا باللون الأخضر دعمًا للتوعية بصحة النفسية، وذلك من خلال مبادرة “شمعة أمل” السنوية التي تنظمها حملة “لست وحدك” خلال شهر التوعية بالصحة النفسية لشهر مايو 2026.
منذ انطلاقها في عام 2020، نجحت مبادرة “شمعة أمل” في توحيد المعالم البارزة في سلطنة عمان والمنطقة من خلال إضاءتها باللون الأخضر، وهو اللون المعترف به عالميًا للتوعية بالصحة النفسية. وعلى مر السنين، جمعت المبادرة معالم بارزة تشمل دار الأوبرا السلطانية مسقط، مطارات عمان، مركز عمان للمؤتمرات والمعارض، وحتى برج المملكة في المملكة العربية السعودية، مما خلق رسالة مشتركة للأمل، الشفاء، التعاطف، والتضامن.
يرمز اللون الأخضر إلى النمو، التجدد، التفاؤل، والرفاهية العاطفية. وخلال ذروة الجائحة، أصبحت مبادرة “شمعة أمل” تذكيرًا قويًا بأن لا أحد يعيش في عزلة، مما شجع المجتمعات على التكاتف من أجل الدعم، التفاهم، والإنسانية.

GUTech once again shines green in support of mental health awareness through the annual Light of Hope initiative by the Not Alone Campaign during Mental Health Awareness Month for May 2026.
Since its launch in 2020, Light of Hope has united iconic landmarks across Oman and the region by illuminating them in green, the internationally recognized color of mental health awareness. Over the years, the initiative has brought together landmarks including the Royal Opera House Muscat, Oman Airports, OCEC, and even the Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia, creating a shared message of hope, healing, compassion, and solidarity.
Green symbolizes growth, renewal, optimism, and emotional wellbeing. During the height of the pandemic, Light of Hope became a powerful reminder that no one is alone encouraging communities to come together in support, understanding, and humanity.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Omantel for continuously supporting this initiative since its beginnings and for helping amplify the importance of mental health awareness within our communities.
