The wearing of prescribed school uniforms for students will resume tomorrow, August 24, 2026 (Monday).

Meanwhile, faculty members and nonteaching personnel are enjoined to wear appropriate national attire representing ASEAN member countries in observance of the University’s ASEAN-related activities.

The flag-raising ceremony will also be held simultaneously across all Operating Units of the University.

Everyone is encouraged to remain updated on prevailing weather conditions and closely monitor official University channels for any subsequent advisories or announcements.

Classes in the tertiary level of South La Union Campus (Agoo, Rosario, and Sto. Tomas) will shift to asynchronous modalities today, August 14, 2026. Meanwhile, classes in the Basic Education are suspended.

This is pursuant to the directive of University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. in view of the declaration of LGU Agoo on class suspension.

Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) – Board of Regents (BOR) welcomed Hon. Michael Dean M. Malonzo, President of the University Student Council, as the new Student Regent. Hon. Malonzo took his oath during the Second Quarter Regular Meeting at Hotel Van Gogh, Candon City, Ilocos Sur, and via Zoom on August 1, 2026.

𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐅𝐇 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Offices across all DMMMSU operating units will be temporarily closed on August 10, 2026. Personnel will observe 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦-𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 (𝐖𝐅𝐇) 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 following Memorandum Circular No. 123 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines.

Accordingly, face-to-face classes in all levels across DMMMSU campuses are suspended and shall shift to 𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Regular office transactions will resume on August 11, 2026 (Tuesday).

The Midterm Examinations are rescheduled to August 18-20, 2026 (Tuesday to Thursday) across all DMMMSU campuses.

This adjustment is made pursuant to the directive of University President Dr. Jaime I. Manuel, Jr. to ensure that the prescribed instructional time and scheduled learning activities are substantially completed prior to the administration of the examinations.

The revised schedule provides adequate opportunity for the completion of course requirements, reinforcement of intended learning outcomes, and the conduct of assessments under conditions that uphold the integrity, validity, and quality of the University's academic processes.

All students, faculty members, and concerned stakeholders are enjoined to take note of the revised examination schedule and make the necessary adjustments.

Nakikiisa ang DMMMSU sa pagdiriwang ng 𝐁𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚

Sa temang "Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon," isinusulong ng DMMMSU ang etikal na paggamit ng makabagong teknolohiya upang mapabilis at mapalawak ang pag-access sa dunong at kaalaman.

𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊-𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌-𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

The following arrangements shall be implemented on Friday, August 7, 2026:

▪ Asynchronous mode of learning shall be implemented.
▪ Faculty members who are not under VSL status may avail themselves of a work-from-home arrangement.
▪ Faculty members under VSL status and all non-teaching personnel shall report onsite and observe their regular work schedules.

Should LGUs or the Provincial Government of La Union issue an advisory declaring suspension of classes or work, this advisory shall be automatically rescinded in compliance with the LGU’s or PGLU’s directive.
