The article examines how metaphors of war and criminality, dehumanization, salvation, and resistance shape public understanding of political and educational realities, particularly in relation to narratives surrounding Duterteโs War on Drugs. It also highlights the pedagogical value of critical metaphor analysis in teaching academic freedom, critical consciousness, and student activism.
