π΅π REMEMBERING CARLOS BULOSAN π΅π
Today, we commemorate the life and legacy of Carlos Bulosan, a Filipino writer, poet, and labor activist whose works gave voice to the struggles, dreams, and aspirations of Filipino immigrants and workers.
In remembrance of his enduring contribution to Filipino literature and culture, we look back with pride at βSiak ni Carlos Bulosan,β a musical play directed by Direk Jayson G. Pabalan and performed by the Jocson College Center for Learning and Development in Culture, Arts and Sports from September 11β13, 2017 in his hometown, Binalonan, Pangasinan
Through music, theater, and storytelling, the production brought the life and struggles of Carlos Bulosan closer to the audience, reminding us of the importance of courage, identity, dignity, and the Filipino spirit.
Years may have passed since the stage came alive with his story, but the message of Carlos Bulosan continues to resonate.
His story is our story. His struggles remind us of our strength. His words continue to inspire generations.
Today, we remember Carlos Bulosanβnot only as a literary figure, but as a Filipino whose life and works continue to challenge us to dream, to speak, and to stand for what is right.
